My September 11, 2021 class FEARLESS APPLIQUE is now available on the http://www.VCQ.org website for registration. Both members and non-members are welcome to register.
It is a half day class (9:30 – 12:30) appropriate for all skill levels. You will learn eight different ways to applique, four by hand and four by machine. The class will be virtual on Zoom and a hand out will be sent out to all class participants. While mostly demonstration and follow along, there is an optional FALL LEAVES PATTERN which you can purchase.

Last week we took off for New Jersey to help our daughter and her boyfriend purchase their first home. After closing, we helped them tape walls to prepare for painting, and replace some light bulbs and light fixtures.
This month, with a lot of help from my friends….we were able to sort and find borders, backs and binding for 12 community service quilts that will go to our local hospice or meals on wheels. Kits have been made up to go out to members of the Crozet Quilt Guild.
So, I am still working on many of my projects. I still need to add borders to the split-nine patch quilt. Here I am auditioning some fabrics.
I finished the round robin quilt that was on the long arm. It just needs to have binding stitched down.
And I was able to add the red strips to 80 blocks for the black and white and red quilt top.
Sadly, my embroidered bird for this month, the sparrow, is still in the production stage! I’ll post when it’s finished.
