In the Studio

October 4, 2020

Finished some colorful sewing mats to go under our machines in the studio. Each one has a pocket to hold your threads and scissors.

On the Long Arm, I’m working on the Drunkards Path. You might remember that the back of this quilt got caught up in the stitches. I had to rip out two rows of stitching. It’s back on the Q24, with a new backing fabric.

Lesson learned….don’t use cheaper fabric on your quilt back!!

TIP: When making binding, it helps to have some kind of marking to keep your stitches straight. I have been using this ANGLER 2 ruler for years. I line it up I under my presser foot…and then just follow the line. The blue tape helps keep it in place and can be used over and over.
